Credit Card debts: Causes and Prevention
CAUSES of Credit Card Debts
1. Financial illiteracy
Many people don't understand how money works and grows, how t save and invest for a rainy day, or even why they should balance their checkbook. The school don't teach it, your parent may not have sat you down and explained it, but it doesn't matter. You are responsible for your money and your life anyway. Financial mistakes are increasingly expensive and complicated to resolve.
2.Under-employment
People who experienced under employment may continue to think of it as only temporary or if they are coming off unemployment feel a false sense of relief. Yes, you deserve a break, but this is not the time. Get those expenses in line with your current income. Down the road if you increase your income due to more hours, a second job, or a better job, then is the time to start adding in some of the previous spending before you became unemployment.
3.Poor Money Management
A monthly spending plan is essentials. Without one you have no ideas where your money is going. You maybe spending hundreds of dollars unnecessary each month and end up having to charge purchases on which you should have spent the money. Planning is no more difficult than write down your expenses and income and reconciling the two. You will be surprise at how powerful you'll fell when you are making thoughtful decisions about where and when to spend your money.
PREVENTION of Credit Card Debts
1.Credit counseling and debt settlement
Each help clients by educating them in ways to get out of debts and stay that way, but the approaches are significantly different. The objectives of credit counseling is to pay off debts in full by negotiating lower interest rates, while debt companies pay off debts fast by negotiating reductions in the amount owed.
2.Choose a credit card that offer lowest interest rate
Photocopy the credit card offer, including the interest rate and terms. Create a letter to your credit card company/companies stating that you are thinking of switching to their competition because they are a far more reasonable interest rate. Credit card companies do not want to lose your business. Nine times out ten they will match or even offer a lower rate than the competition have offer.
3.Manage your finances
Starting with a strategy will help you keep on track before you ever even pull out the credit card. Determining your monthly income and needed expenses. As part of these monthly expenses, figure in 5-10% of your income to set aside for emergencies, long range savings such as retirement account and short term savings. If you have some savings then you avoid to put large amount of debt on a credit card in times of crisis.

The passwords which are related to any of our personal information such as date of birth, contact number, identity card number and etc is not encourage using as the password number. A strong password is more than 12 words and it consists of digit (0-9), alphabetic (a-z) and also some special character (@, ^, *, -, _, #).

The treat of online security: How safe is our data?
Non-technical attacks is an attack that uses chicanery to trick people into revealing sensitive information of performing actions that compromise the security of a network. Examples of non-technical attacks are pretexting and social engineering.
In contrast, software and systems knowledge are used to perpetrate technical attacks. A computer worm is an example of a technical attack. Hackers often use several software tools readily and freely available over the Internet and study hacker and security websites to learn vulnerabilities.
Malicious code: viruses, worms, and trojan horse
Malicious sometimes referred to as malware( for malicious software), it is classified by how it propagates( spread).
- virus: a piece of software code that inserts itself into a host, including the operating systems; running its host program activates the virus. A virus have two types of components. First, it has a propagation mechanism by which it spreads. Second, it has a payload that refers to what the virus does once it is executed. Some of the viruses simply infect and spread but some of others do substantial damage such as deleting the files or corrupting the hard drive.
- worm: a software program that runs independently, consuming the resources if its host in order to maintain itself, that is capable of propagating a complete working version of itself to another machine. Worms consist of a set of common base elements such as a warhead, a propagation engine, a payload, a target selection algorithm, and a scanning engine. The entire process takes seconds or less, which is why a worm can spread to thousands of machines.
- trojan horse: a program that appears to have a function but that contains a hidden function that presents a security risks. There are many types of Trojan horse programs. Basically, Trojan horse has two parts which is a server and a client. The server is the program that runs on the computer under attack while the client program is the program used by the person perpetrating the attack.

So because of those the online order is easy to use and completely focused.
However, the Domino’s pizza also implements the m-commerce and they think this have the potential to increase the sales due to 12% of people placing order through mobile phone.
The following is the Domino’s e-commerce milestones

Revenue Model for Google, Amazon.com and eBay
Google
The main source of Google’s revenue is from advertising. Google earns most of the revenue through two advertising programs which are Google Adwords and Google Adsense. Google Adwords is a pay-per-click (PPC) advertising program which targeted for both text and banner advertisement. The payment of Google Adwords is based on qualifying click-through. It allows the advertisers to present their advertisements to people at the moment they are looking for information which related to what the advertiser has offered. On the other side, Google Adsense is an ad serving program which allows web advertisers to enroll text, image, and video advertisement in Google’s search results and other Google related websites. The revenue is generated on a per-click or per-thousand-ads-displayed basis and the ads are administered by Google. In addition, Google also using affiliate revenue model to generate income as it provides a highlighted web address or images that link to another website.
eBay
eBay is an online auction and shopping website which allow everyone sell and buy products online. This means that the participants bid for the products over the internet. eBay has various revenue models in generate its revenue, but the majority revenue is earned from the transaction fees revenue models. Other than the e-auction, eBay also own the Paypal and Skype which help it to generate additional revenue other than the e-auction.
Amazon.com
Amazon.com is a completely e-commerce company which is a retail merchant that operates solely over the web and it is also known as one of the first major companies to sell goods through internet. It is different from eBay because Amazon owned its inventories and constitute sales in its website. Other than operates retail websites, it also provides programs that enable third party the opportunity to sell their products on its web sites worldwide. The revenue earned by Amazon is mostly based on the sales revenue model.
In conclusion, three of these companies are using different revenue models in generating their revenue, moreover have successfully earned a large amount of money. However, in my opinion, I think Google is earning the most revenue as compare to the other two companies, this is because of Google not only generate its revenue from advertising and affiliation, but it also using other methods.

example of an E-comm failure and its causes
Its mission was to empower consumers with the information and resources they need to become active participants in the management of their own health. Koop owned a famous face before co-founding an Internet company and, indeed, before the Web even exists.
During 1998, the operating revenues notched just $43,000, but that didn't keep the company from going public in June 1999. Subsequently, DrKoop's business plan rested on advertising and in 1999, there were not enoguh of healthcare advertisers to support it and there are many others healthcare dot-com trolling for ad buyers.
Besides that, DrKoop.com failed to achieve complete success and are unable to face the challenges in market via Internet. According to their unimpressive and non-persuaded marketing capacity as well as other weaknesses, they failed to achieve the success and turn into bankrupt. DrKoop.com, the medical information Website taht was once valued at over $1billion, was sold to a Florida company for $186,000 in cash term.
Other than that, their shares sold to the public in June 1999, rose to $45.75 three years ago before it falling with the collapse if the Internet Stock Bubbles. There are several reasons why the DrKoop.com failed:
- company sank into a cash crisis for the trademark, websites and others.
- DrKoop.com didn't realized the goal of the health-care industry.
- consumers need more confidence to while DrKoop.com is unable to build the trust and the brand valuesassociated with name to the consumers via Internet.
- DrKoop.com is the target of several calss-actions lawsuits.
The history and evolution of E-commerce
E-commerce were first developed in the early 1970s with innovations like:
- electronic funds transfer(EFT): - funds can be routed electronically from one organization to another.
- electronic data interchange(EDI): - used to electronically transfer routine documents, that expanded electronic transfer from financial transactions to other types of transaction processing.
- interorganizational system(IOS): - a system which allows the flow of information to be automated between organizations in order to reach a desired supply-chain management system, which enables the development of competitive organizations.
